Intercultural Education in Physical Education and Sport Coaching

Interactive Online Conference

Research indicates that many physical education teachers and coaches have not received formal training on working with diverse groups, and lack professional competences in the area of intercultural education. So what are the current challenges for PE teachers and coaches when they are teaching culturally, ethnically and linguistically heterogeneous classes of pupils or athletes? What are the future perspectives of intercultural education in the setting of school and sports clubs?

The interactive online conference focused on intercultural education in school sport and sports club environments, and provided an overview of the results and tools developed in the Erasmus+ project EDU:PACT.

Target groups:  government representatives and policy makers, persons responsible for educational programs and coaching education, audience from universities, universities of applied sciences and umbrella organizations. Physical education teachers, coaches and experts working in the field of intercultural education.

It was a pleasure for us to welcome more than 100 participants from all over the world.
